Facemasks, The Tyranny Behind the Science

In February of 2020 our world forever changed when a new virus was introduced to our country and the rest of the world. Covid-19, a name that will live in infamy for the damage it caused, but not in the usual way you would suspect of a pandemic. This virus was highly politicized, and made to instill fear in every man, woman, and child on Earth, and if you were among the few who stood up and said “No” to the fear and propaganda, you were labeled a conspiracy theorist, a science denier, a quack, and now, a terrorist. How were they able exert this kind of control over an entire populace and instill fear so deeply into people that they complied? Facemasks. Without any scientific proof of their efficacy, the damage, and long-term effects it could have on our children, and the harm that it could do to our bodies, mandates were made, science was ignored and suppressed, and complete compliance was expected.

From the very beginning of this lab created pandemic, everything has been highly politicized to an almost unbelievable point. Questioning where the virus came from and wanting to understand it’s biology and how it was created was somehow viewed as racist and xenophobic, and so began the politicization of a virus. Why would they do this? The answer is simple, control and power. Donald Trump was giving the power back to the people. Those who seek power, could never allow that to happen. They needed to seize control back from the people before it was too late for them, so they created a biological weapon to do just that. They had all their players in place from politicians, to judges, to state and county health officials and everyone in between who had any form of authority.

The idea of people wearing facemasks was debated for a while in the beginning, with experts questioning their effectiveness, but before we knew what had happened and the debate could be settled, the science authorities decided that masks needed to be worn. While Donald Trump encouraged people to wear them, he wanted it to be a choice that each person made for themselves. This would not work for those who were looking to seize control, so governors along with state and county health officials all over the country took it upon themselves to mandate the use of facemasks. They threatened and coerced businesses and people into compliance with some states bringing in law enforcement to enforce these draconian, tyrannical orders that had no legal standing. People soon came to realize that compliance was easier and mistakenly thought that if they did as they were told, they would soon be on the road back to normalization. They couldn’t have been more wrong. Once that power was seized and compliance was obtained, there was no going back.

To further compound the problem of our tyrannical government, global health authorities were brought in to create chaos and confusion, media was weaponized into a tool of pure propaganda and speculation to sell the “science” that didn’t exist with the efficiency of masks. The WHO and the CDC, along with Dr. Fauci led the way with this unproven science, constantly flip flopping on whether to wear a mask or not, finally settling on the need to wear one, or more, even though scientific studies have been done proving that not only are masks ineffective but have the potential to be very harmful.

The most tragic part of this debacle is the affect that this situation has had on our children. Children are at an extremely low risk of contracting, spreading, falling severely ill and dying from the virus. Children have healthy, robust immune systems that need to be challenged to stay adaptive and functional. Masking children not only suppresses their immune system but can cause serious harm to children developmentally, psychologically, and emotionally.

Studies have shown that children have a natural capability of evading the virus due to a lack of the ACE-2 receptors in their nostrils, which the virus uses to gain access to our cells. The CDC’s own studies show that wearing masks may impede breathing, while one of Europe’s leading neurologist and neurophysiologists found that

"The rebreathing of our exhaled air will without a doubt create oxygen deficiency and a flooding of carbon dioxide. We know that the human brain is very sensitive to oxygen deprivation."

This oxygen deprivation can cause significant harm to the development of a child's brain, causing metabolic changes that affect neuronal cells, potentially causing neurodegenerative diseases that can take years to develop.

Secondary health problems in children caused by mask wearing are also a problem. Mental health issues such as anxiety and depression with increased risk of suicide rose significantly. Data gathered by emergency rooms between April and October of 2020 shows that children in the age range of 5-11 saw an increase of mental health issues of approximately 25% while children between the ages of 12-17 years old saw a substantial increase of 31%. Young adults were also affected with mental health problems, and it was reported that between the ages of 18 and 24, 25% had suicidal ideation.

Additional problems that children face while wearing masks include emotional development through social interactions and communication issues. Professor Lee, a professor of applied psychology and human development at the University of Toronto acknowledges that while children are very adaptive to their environments wearing a face mask poses potential problems for children such as facial recognition and the ability to read and convey emotions. Professor Lee states that,

"When children try to understand someone, they actually pay attention to their eyes, their nose, their mouth and how their lips move. They then use that information to comprehend what that person is talking about."

There are many ways that adults and children communicate, and in very young children and babies who haven’t developed verbal communication skills, they rely on those non-verbal cues that adults give them to gauge emotion. They also rely on seeing our faces and the movement of our mouth to develop proper speech and communication skills. Constant masking eliminates our ability to communicate properly with our children and hinders their cognitive growth.

Looking at the data available, it is hard to see the justification of forcing our children to wear masks. There is no evidence available showing that the benefits of masking children outweigh the risks to their health and neurological development, along with their mental health and happiness. There is an extremely low chance of children contracting this virus, little chance of them spreading it to adults they have contact with, and an almost zero percent chance of them dying from this virus, so where is the benefit in harming our children with this absurd and potentially dangerous mandate?

How Efficient are face masks at preventing the spread and transmission of a virus? There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies done that show the ineffectiveness of masks and respirators against the spread of respiratory illnesses. Surgical facemasks were originally designed to protect healthcare workers during surgery by reducing bacterial shedding of the surgeons along with containing and filtering droplets from the mouth and nose to prevent the contamination of surgical wounds. There are many factors to consider when looking at the effectiveness of wearing a face mask to prevent the spread of illnesses, such as the mode of transmission of a virus, the type of facemask being used, the filtration size of the material being used compared to the size of the virus, the proper fit of the facemask and whether it’s being worn properly. The COVID-19 virus has an approximate size of 0.0 micrometers, while the pores on a typical reusable cloth face masks have an average size of 80-500 micrometers that increase in size with each washing making them ineffective at preventing the spread of the virus. They may be effective for containing the virus attached to large droplets, but it cannot properly contain smaller aerosol particulates. Secondary things to consider are personal hygiene habits of the wearer, temperature, and humidity exposure, as well as contact exposure that isn’t respiratory related. All these factors will affect the outcome of a study. Below is a study that was done between 2006 and 2008 of the efficiency of mask wearing and hygiene in patients diagnosed with the influenza virus. No significant difference was noticed.

In a healthcare setting the use of N95 respirators, which need to be fit tested for proper use, are used in conjunction with other personal protective gear such as gowns, gloves, head covers, face shields along with the isolation of the patient in a negative pressure environment. These items and the protocols that are followed in a healthcare environment all work together to help prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria. In a community type setting, people are not going to have access to all the equipment or training that a healthcare facility will, rendering it less effective. Studies done in community settings in both Hong Kong, and Australia where household contacts wearing masks were followed for 7-10 days showed no conclusive evidence that face masks were effective. The effectiveness of the study could be impacted by compliance issues, showing that without proper fit testing and adherence to guidelines of wearing a face mask, there is no real reduction in the spread of viruses or bacteria. To implement such measures that would be effective enough to reduce the transmission rate of viruses, would be nearly impossible to accomplish outside of a healthcare setting. Furthermore, improper wearing of a facemask could have the opposite affect desired by increasing the risk of transmission.

The science is not settled on the efficacy of wearing facemasks to prevent the spread of viruses. The evidence that suggests that masks are effective at reducing transmission are more experimental as they are performed under controlled conditions that don’t equate to evidence in a more natural setting. Some of the data available to us currently are charts showing the spread of COVID-19 over a period from March through August of 2020 with the implementation of mask mandates. One such chart shows data from 3 different counties in California, where the mask mandates were strictly enforced.

As you can see from the data provided, the mask mandates were ineffective at preventing the transmission of the virus as the daily new cases continued to increase substantially over the course of several months before dropping off during the hottest months of the summer. While this could appear at first glance that masks are effective and helped, the increase in cases prior to this suggests the opposite. There are multiple limitations that exist currently in research, those being inconsistent testing protocols, different laboratory methods for testing, differing case definitions and standards of effectiveness. Substantial resources would need to be allocated on a large scale over a long period of time to determine the actual effectiveness of wearing facemasks. However, given the information currently available to us, the effectiveness of wearing masks to prevent the spread of disease and illness is minimal at best, and has the potential to be more harmful than good.

We are all familiar by now with such common phrases as, “it’s not for my health, it’s for yours” and “just wear the mask, it’s not a big deal. Don’t you care about saving lives?” We have become bombarded with these phrases daily by people we know, and by those we don’t. But do people who echo this narrative truly understand the danger to their own health and the health of others whom they are asking to mask up? There are some very dangerous side effects to mask wearing that are important to understand if you are to make a truly informed decision. A few of these side effects include dermatitis, dental problems, shortness of breath and lightheadedness, headache, a weakened immune system, and the development of chronic respiratory illnesses. There are far more severe side effects such as bacterial lung infections that could lead to lung cancer, carbon dioxide poisoning, oxygen deprivation, and even death.

There are probably many people who have suffered from one or more of these side effects, but do they understand the long-term effects? Most probably don’t, as few studies have been done on the long-term effects of masking. There are three different types of facemasks that are commonly used; the N-95 surgical mask, the cloth medical mask and the homemade cloth mask made of varying material types. The studies that have been done have centered around health care professionals and not the public. The findings from one report on surgeons showed a decrease in blood oxygen saturation levels, along with the change in pulse. While this report was found to be inconclusive due to the variables of stress and other factors, there are still many unknown aspects regarding the health of wearing a mask.

Another study found that respiratory infection was much higher in healthcare workers who wore homemade cloth face masks. The homemade cloth masks were found to have a particle penetration of almost 97% compared to that of cloth medical masks with a particle penetration of 44%. Several things we need to also consider are the materials the masks are made of and what we could potentially be inhaling. Examination of each mask under a microscope revealed loose particulates, as well as tight and loose fibers. If any of those fibers or debris from foreign material are detachable by airflow, then there is the possibility for entry into deep lung tissue through inhalation, potentially causing pathological consequences from the presence of foreign bodies being in the lungs.

Oxygen deprivation caused by rebreathing our own exhaled air can be very dangerous. Our exhaled breath is flooded with carbon dioxide which we are re-breathing with each inhalation causing an oxygen deficiency. There are cells in the brain that cannot survive longer than three minutes without oxygen. With the onset of chronic oxygen deprivation, the acute symptoms disappear but the effects remain, and the neurodegenerative process continues. Once the nerve cells stop properly dividing, they can no longer be regenerated, even after a return to breathing normally. This becomes even more dangerous in children where oxygen deficiency inhibits healthy brain development and is irreversible. According to Margarete Greisz Brisson, a German neurologist,

"The child's brain or the youth's brain is thirsting for oxygen. the more metabolically active an organism is, the more oxygen it needs. In children and adolescents every organ is metabolically active. ... It is not only dangerous to their health; it is absolutely criminal."

Criminal doesn’t begin to express what we have gone through for the past year and a half. They have used facemasks as a political weapon against us. They have robbed us of the freedom to choose what is best for our health, and that of our family with no regard to the damage they are doing to us, our children, our society, and our freedoms. We have experienced what tyranny looks and feels like firsthand, yet there are those who still believe the propaganda sold by our media and our tyrannical government. The Science is far from settled or understood regarding the efficacy on the use of facemasks, though the data available is showing that there are more risks and long-term side effects than there are benefits. It is also unclear what the long-term repercussions to our health, both physiological and psychological, will be, though the data that is becoming available on that is far from comforting.
